Remember “Dooba Dooba”from Silk Route’s album Boondein (1998)? The band’s lead singer and guitarist Mohit Chauhan have come a long way now as a playback singer. The video, said to be one of the first in the country to be shot underwater, was directed by Ravi Udyawar. “That video changed everything for me,” he reminisces. Ravi was 25 then.

My Gut Feel and comments:
Many times, the decisions we make affect and hurt your closest friends and family the most. I have a lot of regrets in that regard. But God has forgiven me, which I am very thankful for. It has enabled me to forgive myself and move forward one day at a time.- Lex Luger (American retired professional wrestler)
It’s difficult to predict exact story of MOM at this point of time, however, going by the trailer above mentioned seems true in the case of Sridevi’s character. She seems to be taking some harsh steps and might be going cold blooded to protect her family’s interest.
Ravi Udyawar with his directorial debut seems sharp and had come up with a fresh and interesting film plot. Sridevi is looking stunning and supporting cast covering Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna seems apt and impressive in their roles.
It took the director over two years to develop the final plot of the movie. In one of the interviews he had mentioned that it was the 18thdraft that was finally approved by Boney Kapoor – the producer of the film.
Even with an interesting plot that captivates the audience’s attention, I feel it will be difficult for it to attract the mass audience. There would be a limited target audience appreciating a movie with a female protagonist in the lead. Although with Sridevi in the lead, her fans would be already looking forward to book their tickets. The complex story line will also attract another set of audiences to the cinema halls.
Going by my gut feel I am giving this movie 3.5 stars out of 5 stars, One day before the release.
