My Gut Feel and comments:
We all know the dangers of sequels. Lightning doesn’t strike twice in the same place too often, and I think you’ve got to move beyond it, go the extra mile and have the courage not to just repeat the first one. Colin Firth
Force was the remake of Tamil movie Kaakha Kaakha and Force 2 will have an original script. Force was directed by Nishikanth Kamath however Force 2 is directed by Abhinay Deo. Both directors have different working style which will definitely differentiate the part 1 against its sequel in terms of presentation, look and feel. This week released Rock on 2 not able to recreate the magic of Rock On 1. This anyways remains a common case with sequels as going beyond the original work is a daunting task and most of the time film makers disappoints.
Force was fresh, raw in presentation and storytelling however Force 2 seems polished and prepared on larger scale which is where most of the time sequels go wrong.
Although John is looking good, Abhinay Deoas director seems confident about his offering however still I believe something is missing.
Going by my gut feeling I am giving Force II 2.5 stars out of 5, five days before the release.
