My Gut Feel and comments:
Bajrangi Bhaijaan has a simple story which has been revealed in the promos from day one. Somehow I strongly believe that if it was not led by Kabir Khan as a director then there were higher a chance that film would have gone drastically wrong knowing star power of Salman khan which although off late ensured box office success even to the average movies. I have high regards for Kabir Khan, as a director with documentary directorial background, it gives him an edge as a story teller. Charm of his work had been evident in “Kabul Express” and “New York”. Narration has been a finer aspect of Kabir’s films. It is simple to comprehend, and characterization is apt as per the demand of the role. His movies holds serious backdrop however screenplay’s simplicity gives them mass appeal which resulted in commercial gain to the movie. In case of his latest offering, Salman Khan compliments the character “Bajrangi Bhaijan” and is undoubtedly the apt choice for this role. Film would not disappoint his fanatic fans and ever few over the top moments in the film would be negotiable by the multiplex audience which even if not accept by them whole heartedly however will not discarded outrageously either. There seems to be three refreshing aspects of this movie – innocent little girl, Nawazuddin’s delightful presence and the filming locations that will be the treat for the eye.
Going by my gut feel I am giving this movie 3 star out of 5 stars, 2 days before the release.
