Housefull 3 is multi-starrer Comedy film, a franchise that belongs to Sajid Khan, who directed the previous two parts from the series, but the third part is being made by Sajid-Farhad, who also happened to be the writer of the film.
Know more about the captain of the Ship, the director:
Sajid Samji & Farhad Samji are Indian film directors and writers. Their work as writers include the films Shiva, Sunday, Double Dhamaal, Golmaal Returns, All The Best: Fun Begins, Housefull 2, Ready, Golmaal 3, Singham, Bol Bachchan, Chashme Baddoor, Himmatwala, Chennai Express, It’s Entertainment, Singham Returns. Their last 5 movies have entered the 1 billion club and they started directing films with Entertainment.
The duo started their career as a lyricist. Salman Khan first heard their songs and recommended them to David Dhawan and he roped them in for Hum Kisise Kum Nahin. Sajid-Farhad first tasted success as lyricists with M Bole Toh from Munnabhai MBBS. After that, they got offers from Ram Gopal Varma for Shiva and thereafter they penned dialogues for Rohit Shetty’s Sunday and Golmaal Returns.
My Gut Feel and comments:
“Slap-stick comedy is really funny unless you’re the one getting slapped with the stick.”
Above seems to be the case with upcoming third installment of Housefull franchise. I enjoyed Housefull 1 although it was an average movie however I found Housefull 2 below average. Both were the commercial success and directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Housefull 3 is maintaining the same flavor although directed by Sajid and Farhad under same production house.
Sajid and Farhad written blockbusters for Rohit Shetty, however, failed miserably to entertain through their directorial debut venture “Entertainment”. I think this time they got their act right at least for their targeted mass audience who enjoy thing kind of cinema.
A movie will surely have its share of funny moments, however, the graph of storyline and screenplay will surely fluctuate which result in an average fast passed movie with mass appeal.
Going by my gut feeling I am giving Housefull3, 2.5 stars out of 5, two days before the release.
